all these photos are from a long time ago, at the height of summer.

for me it feels like a pivotal moment, as though all those hot days swarmed and swam around that day, like metaphorical dish water circling a plug hole.

hot waves lapped off the beach and the wind snipped and snapped yet for the love of me I couldn't stay warm.

my brogues got wet on that day and have never been the same.

a little yellow smear on my left shoe, where the wet pollen continues to cling.

I'm falling into autumn head first, but my feet are still caked in summer.

summer's rolled on in, and I've just rolled over again in bed

its sad when sickness hits you, because summer is so much better enjoyed outside

and after so much confinement, my patience is wearing thin

me and my parents went to Richmond park and I got to giggle and sit amongst the deer and their newly sprouting antlers.

it was a glorious day, in what could have been a glorious summer.

alas we continue onwards

The weather's been a bit schizophrenic lately, but a couple of weekends ago the temperature was mild enough to tempt me and my brother out into the garden after I'd finished work.

Everything I'm wearing there I actually bought that day, save the crucifix, which my sister bought me for my birthday so I could ward off vampires. Though I think it might actually be a preventative so she can secretly ward off me. And sneakily steal my foundation as I've gotten even paler, and can't really use it. I think I'm having delayed stress from the exams; my hair's falling, I'm constantly cold and my legs are really tired. But I'm entertaining the idea of going veggy again, especially after all the dead birds my cat's been bringing in. And shock horror, I've given up cake. Well cake, chocolate, biscuits, breakfast and fast food. But not coffee or tea. They're my life blood.

Summer is here though and can warm up my so called icy heart. You can really tell my sister's big on the compliment front.

Someone donated loads of items to our shop from places like Topshop, so I picked my self up three blouses, a magician coat and those amusing spectacles. Its a real shame we're shutting down, I'll have nothing to do with my saturdays and will miss the company of such lovely people and clothes.

Life goes on I guess.

graduate fashion week

So there's me sitting at home, lonely as a pea, fully expecting to stay in my pajamas all day long.

Alas, there I was curled up with Geordie Shore, and then the phone suddenly began a'ringing,

With my uncle phoning to ask if I'd like to go to, drum roll please,

GRADUATE FASHION WEEK

gah

Capitals are needed to express the joy my heart felt.

We had tickets to see the Kingston University show, on Monday, so most had already had there's. I got to have a wonder round the different university's stalls and check out all the places I'm thinking of applying to, and taking a peek at the different students books.

The fashion show was nothing short of superb. The sheer level of quality was almost overwhelming, and with each student you could see a definite aesthetic and appreciation for design. There seemed to be a lot of construction/deconstruction which I really enjoyed, as finding a well tailor design is one thing, but turning cloth into a shape, and then into a design, one which is well executed, is another thing.

All Designs @ The Students of Kingston University

So as to not overload you all with too many photos, I only selected, well a few, the rest can be found here

The 16th photo, which to save you counting is after the dominatrix unicorn, are the designs of Francesca Armstrong, who is actually my old art teacher's daughter. If any of you watch 'This Morning' on ITV you might have seen one of her designs in their graduate competition. How amazing is that?

Do excuse the random heads popping into shot, we were able to blag are way into the blue section next to the catwalk, but my height isn't quite adapted for runway photography. I have the running order of the designers, but my mind was muddled by the sheer velocity of it all, so right now I can't quite recall who's is who's. So if there are any pieces you especially love and wish to know more, I'd be happy to do some investigating and pass on details and names.

I literally have so many prospectuses as home, and that not even the end of it, I still have all my drama ones to come through as well from places like Central and Bristol.

What to do? Where to go? Choices, choices.
